I spend a lot of time contemplating the leap from a full-time job to starting my own business.
But lately, the question that has been on my mind is:
Why haven’t I jumped into entrepreneurship first?
There are a few reasons for my hesitation:
- Reason #1: Lack of a Clear Idea: I don’t yet have a solid concept for my business. I’m unsure about the problem I’d be solving, and starting a business without a clear purpose doesn’t lead to success.
- Reason #2: Income Security: With a child on the way, the transition from a stable job with guaranteed pay and health benefits to an uncertain business income is daunting.
- Reason #3: Passion: I want to be passionate about my business. I commit fully to what I love, and I don’t want to start something just for the sake of it.
To wrestle with this question, I am actively searching for problems that inspire solutions, exploring new hobbies to discover my passions, and saving to ensure financial stability during this potential transition.
But I think it’ll be a while before I come to any sort of solid conclusion.
(And if you have a clear answer to this question, I’d love to hear from you.)
